Communication is a process that involves exchange of information, thoughts, ideas and emotions. There is no doubt that communication plays a great and very important role in our life.  With the help of communication people share their knowledge and experience, discuss different topics and make new acquaintances.
Communication begins with language, the distinctive ability which has made possible the evolution of human society. With the language any message, no matter how complex, can be conveyed between people over a limited distance - within a room or place of assembly, or across a short open space.
Human history has known many forms of communication since the birch-bark scraps, carrier pigeon, telegraph, telephone to the modern forms such as Skype, social networking, mobile phones.
From the late 20th century technologies of communication have evolved dramatically quickly and unveiled mobile phones, Internet and technology of communication associated with it.

New forms of communication

Mobile phones
Beginning in the late 1940s, the technology that would later be used in today’s cell phones was created and the idea of a mobile phone was introduced. This cell technology was first used in mobile rigs which were mainly used in taxis, police cars and other emergency vehicles and situations. Little did they know how far their idea would advance to make it accessible to the majority of the population. The first mobile phones  were introduced to the public market in 1983 by the Motorola Company. These first mobile phones used analog technology which was much less reliable than the digital technology we use today.
The capabilities of cell phones have continued to increase since their introduction in the late 1980s. In addition to basic text messaging and wireless phone conversations, many cell phones enable their users to send and receive email, pictures and recorded videos. Bluetooth technology has further increased the communicative value of cell phones, allowing talkers to carry on their conversations hands-free with the use of a small, one-sided headset.

Internet
What is Internet?
According to the definition provided by Oxford dictionary, the Internet is an arrangement of connected computers, which lets the computer users all over the globe exchange data.
Internet has been perhaps the most outstanding innovation in the field of communication in the history of mankind. There are numerous advantages of the Internet in education like gaining information, news, historical data and communication.
Internet Technology has thrown open the doors of a wide base of knowledge, information and uncountable data from all over the world. Every individual can be a part of the virtual world through the Internet and its technology.
With the help of The Internet people from different countries could make friends, communicate and even work.  The Internet has given us e-mail, Skype, blogs, ICQ,  social network, and other forms of fast communication .

Email

E-mail is an online correspondence system. With e-mail you can send and receive instant electronic messages, which works like writing letters. Your messages are delivered instantly to people anywhere in the world, unlike traditional mail that takes a lot of time.  Computer engineer, Ray Tomlinson invented internet based email in late 1971.
Although email is not brand new, there are definitely new and innovative ways of accessing this tool remotely and without the usage of a computer. Many cell phone services offer access to email, with the capability of sending and receiving messages from the devices themselves. This technology can be extremely helpful for those who must stay in constant communication with family members, co-workers or other acquaintances without being bound to larger computers or laptops.
In a work place, communication is extremely important. Employees are now luckily able to make use of the many advantages of email:
1.    It is very easy to communicate effectively with anybody within the office or anywhere in the world
2.    you can respond to clients quickly and easily. This means that you no longer need to spend hours on the phone, trying to get through and leaving messages with receptionists.
3.    The cost of sending an email is very low, unlike postage and other methods of communication.
4.    Emailing saves paper and printing costs.
Although there are a variety of advantages and disadvantages of email, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages by far.
Unfortunately the good always comes with the bad.
1.    Spam emails can be sent which can clutter your inbox.
2.    Viruses can be sent by email.
3.    Misunderstanding

ICQ

With the development of computer technologies more and more different programs focused on communication appear every day. One of these, and the most popular among the teenagers is  ICQ.
ICQ is an instant messaging computer program, which was first developed and popularized by the Israeli company Mirabilis, then bought by America Online, and since April 2010 owned by Mail.ru Group. The name ICQ originated from the phrase "I seek you". This is an adaptation of the Morse code callout "CQ", which means "calling any station». The first version of the program was released in November 1996 and ICQ became the first Internet-wide instant messaging service, later patenting the technology. According to Time Warner, ICQ has over 100 million accounts registered.
Skype
Further development of computer technology has led to the creation of forms of visual communication
Skype is a downloadable software that enables users to make free phone calls and send messages via the Internet. The service also offers video phone calling, allowing users to watch each other in real time while they speak.
Both businesses and private individuals have benefited from the convenience and immediacy of Skype's communication tools.
Skype is becoming an extremely popular way of communication.  Listed below are some advantages and disadvantages of Skype.

Skype has many Advantages
•    free communication
•    can call across the world
•    cheap to use (if you are a subscriber)
•    brings societies together
•    has potential to be a great technology

All these forms of communication are popular but can not be compared in popularity and opportunities with those offered by social networks .Of course the most popular form of communication nowadays is social networking. Thanks to social networking, our world is far more connected than ever before.

Social networking as the most popular form of communication
Social network
Social network is  an on-line service that brings together people on the Internet on any grounds, often with the same interests or  "Social Network on the Internet is a Web-based service providing on-line means for a group of people who have expressed publicly the need for each other through a common interest in a particular subject area. It allows fast communication, information exchange also it is used for many other functions, for example for searching and listening to music, watching videos.
All social networks have several features in common: the presence of registration ( account) of the user, logging  in through the opening of the session (the user specifies the name and confirm their identity by entering password), configuration of the environment ( additional data about themselves, their interests). Some social networks have additional features, such as the ability to create groups that share common interests or affiliations, upload or stream live videos, and hold discussions in forums
Users can create profiles with photos, lists of personal interests, contact information, and other personal information. They can communicate with friends and other users through private or public messages and a chat feature. Users can also create and join interest groups, some of which are maintained by organizations as a means of advertising.
Social networks help people to communicate beyond distance, find new friends easily. Certainly, it gives a good opportunity to communicate for disabled people.
As the native country of computers, internet and a lot of IT- technologies is the USA it is not surprising that social networks have been developed here. Later they began to appear in other countries. Just over ten years social networks have been spread throughout the world.
In different regions of the world popularity of various social networks may vary. Thus, network MySpace, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn are more popular and widespread in North America

Facebook, Hi5, dol2day - in Germany;
Tagged.com (English), XING, and Skyrock - in different European countries

I would like to tell you about US, German and Russian social networks.

The US social networks :
Classmates.com was the fisrt social network in the world. It was developed by Randy Conrad in 1995, USA. Many other social networks have been invented since then. Today, this network still remains one of the world's most popular networks and has more than 50 million users.
The social media website was originally designed to assist members in finding friends and acquaintances from kindergarten, primary school, high school, college, work and the United States military. In 2010, CEO Mark Goldston described the transition of the website "to increasingly focus on nostalgic content" such as "high school yearbooks, movie trailers, music tracks, and photographic images." To this end, and to appeal more to older users, the website name was changed to Memory Lane, which included a website redesign. Our Odnoklassniki is an analogue to American Classmates.
Facebook was founded by Mark Zuckerberg with his college roommates in 2004.
It uses all the same mechanism of communication as classmates but in a slightly different way which leads to a revolution in this field. In 2010 Facebook became even more popular than the leader of the visiting search sites Google. The number of active users in the middle of 2011 was more than 800 million. It is used by people all over the world. Also many celebrities communicate there with fans and maintain their popularity.
The history of Twitter started in March 2006 as a research project of Odeo (San Francisco), originally for internal use. Jack Dorsey introduced the concept of personal use SMS-service for communication with a small group. Initially, the project was conceived as an opportunity to answer a single question: "What are you doing now?". Dorsey wanted to create a kind of platform that would allow him to constantly communicate with your friends short messages. Now Twitter is one of the most popular social networks. Now the social networking site Twitter is a global phenomenon, with celebrity users ranging from presidents, prime ministers to pop stars and presenters.

According to ComScore, up to end of November 2011:

During next 6 years hundreds of Social networks have been created and spread throughout the world.

Disadvantages:
•    We have begun to forget about communicating with real people.
•    In social networks we are not the same as we are in the real life.
•    We waste a lot of time waiting for the answers from friends and sitting thoughtlessly staring at the monitor.

•    information, placed  in social networks, can be found and used by anyone, including those who  have not got  good intentions
The level of social networking sites has reached its peak

Recently, social networks for millionaires and top managers for dog lovers, for people with disabilities or memory of loved ones, who left this world, have appeared. This is a normal situation, which was caused by market saturation overall network "for all". Quite often you can find interesting topics, sometimes absurd, some projects will survive, and some will go nowhere.

Conclusion
Taking all these facts into account, we can conclude that our theory is right. There is no doubt that .network communities are the most used forms of communication nowadays . It helps us to make new foreign friends, to be in touch despite of the territory. Moreover, we can see that there are a lot of kinds of communication now, and it is not the end. Every month the new forms appear and will appear.

Abschluss
Some experts believe that the future of the internet for the 3D-interface. It is logical to assume what the social network would be in 3D.
